The Pediatrics Department of Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), Jumla, is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to infants, children, and adolescents. The department plays a crucial role in improving child health outcomes in Karnali Province, one of the most remote and underserved regions of Nepal.
The department offers a wide range of services including outpatient pediatric care, inpatient management, emergency pediatric services, and neonatal care. Special focus is given to the prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment of common childhood illnesses such as respiratory infections, diarrheal diseases, malnutrition, neonatal conditions, and infectious diseases.
